We are seeking a Production Operator to join our Instrumentation team in Ystrad Mynach. The role will be essential to the assembly, testing and packing of electronic instruments and service & accessory items to achieve quality, cost and delivery targets. The role will consist of working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Comply with company Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental processes in accordance with ISO requirements and raise any issues of non-conformance.
- Assemble, Test and Pack Instrumentation products against required standards, whilst maintaining high standards of performance and efficiency.
- Test Products against testing limits to ensure the Safety and Quality of the product.
- Achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery Targets.
- Support with the identification of Root Cause Analysis and the implementation of effective Preventative Actions.
- Support and assist with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Five S initiatives to eliminate all non-value added activities.
- Assist with NPI and Product Development in line with the required timelines and targets.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience of Manual Handling.
- Experience of small batch Electronic Assembly and Testing of Products.
- Experience of Soldering Electronic Components.
- Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and 5S.
- Understanding of Warehouse Process.
- Aware of NPI and Product Development.
- Aware of ISO and H&S requirements.
- IPC Worker Proficiency Training an advantage.
- NVQ L1/L2 in Manufacturing an advantage.
- Able to follow detailed Work Instructions, procedures and standards.
- Able to demonstrate Commitment, Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Able to demonstrate good Communication and Team Working skills.
- Must exhibit a Positive Progressive Attitude and welcome Continuous Improvement.
- Must exhibit Problem Solving Skills and able to assist with implementation of Improvements in the Manufacturing Process.
