About the Role
B’IOTA Laboratories UK is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations and compliance of the business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable independently managing bookkeeping, payroll, VAT submissions, HMRC obligations, and general company compliance.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record management
- Supplier invoice processing and payment tracking
- Customer invoicing and accounts receivable monitoring
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Managing PAYE payroll and monthly payslips
- Handling HMRC submissions, tax payments, and compliance
- Managing pension contributions and payroll obligations
- Preparing monthly financial reports and cash flow summaries
- Maintaining Companies House filings and statutory records
- Supporting general business compliance and administrative filings
Requirements
- Experience using Xero
- Minimum 3 years UK accounting experience
- Qualified accountant (AAT / ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent UK-recognised accounting qualification)
- Good understanding of VAT, PAYE, HMRC processes, and Companies House filings
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
