- What you'll build
- Design and implement our AI-native Trusted Research Environment from the ground up.
- Build secure compute environments for training, evaluating and deploying AI models.
- Create infrastructure that enables researchers to analyse sensitive data without exposing or exporting it.
- Architect permissions, audit logging, identity management and secure collaboration.
- Integrate modern AI tooling, coding agents and developer workflows into a secure platform.
- Work closely with our AI and product teams to ensure our infrastructure accelerates, rather than restricts, innovation.
What we're looking for
We're far more interested in exceptional engineers than specific degrees.
Ideally, you'll have experience with many of the following
- Designing secure cloud platforms on Azure or AWS.
- Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
- Identity and access management.
- Secure software development practices.
- Modern AI infrastructure including LLM deployment, vector databases, model serving and GPU workloads.
- AI-assisted software development
- Python and backend engineering.
- CI/CD and modern Dev Sec Ops pipelines.
- Experience working in regulated, healthcare, defence or other high-security environments.

- Experience supporting AI or machine learning teams.
- Familiarity with medical, defence or research environments.
