About the Role
We’re seeking a warm, creative, and health-conscious full-time Private Chef (BioChef) for a discreet, family-oriented household in London. This is not just a job—it’s an opportunity to elevate a family's daily dining experience with thoughtful, nourishing, and flavour-rich cuisine. You will be working primarily in a relaxed, Mediterranean-style household with 2 adults daily, and 3 teenagers (15-18) joining for family dinners as their schedules permit. Occasional travel to a countryside cottage and potentially to the South of France may be required.
What You’ll Do
- Cook fresh lunch and dinner daily, plus prep breakfast items, snacks, fermented foods, bone broth, and ready-to-eat meals in glass containers.
- Collaborate weekly on menu planning that supports flavour, satisfaction, and steady weight loss goals.
- Create low-calorie snacks to curb grazing and support mindful eating throughout the day.
- Ensure 100% organic, pasture-raised, wild-caught, and clean ingredient sourcing — free from GMOs, additives, or antibiotics.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and manage grocery shopping and inventory.
- Adapt to evolving preferences through close, open communication—the client values face-to-face collaboration and chef-led creativity.
- Participate in occasional weekend events or travel (with prior discussion).
- Be comfortable preparing Mediterranean, Italian, Greek, and Israeli-style dishes, using vegetables and fresh herbs while avoiding pork (Jewish household).
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in private cheffing, preferably in high-profile or family settings.
- Strong background in Mediterranean cuisine with a flair for healthy, vibrant, flavour-forward meals.
- Excellent understanding of clean eating and ingredient quality standards.
- Proactive, flexible, and personable—able to work independently and build trust with the family.
- Respectful of boundaries and able to liaise smoothly with the household PA and consultants.
Key Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Background check, references, and credentials required.
- Able to manage menu planning, sourcing, and meal prep independently.
- Willingness to adjust and learn through feedback.
- Non-smoker, discreet, and professional.
Logistics
- Hours: Full-time presence, generally leaving by 7:30 PM after dinner service.
- Location: Primary residence in London (Belsize Park, London NW3 4HD), with occasional service at second home or travel destination.
- Groceries Budget: £340+ per person/week (provided by client).
Compensation
Up to £80,000/year, plus the opportunity to work in a meaningful, values-led household focused on wellbeing and sustainable living. Standard full-time employment, with contract and taxes managed by the client. Travel costs and trial days compensated separately.
