The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Project Accountant. The Project Accountant role is responsible for delivering financial reporting and supporting project-based initiatives across the Group. The role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy of the Group’s accounting records and financial reports, while also providing financial insight and support for a range of ad hoc projects as required. This is an interim position with an initial duration of 12 months, there is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare acquisition-related financial information, including the integration of acquisitions and the calculation of completion statements and earn-outs.
  • Review historical data to ensure accuracy and consistency across the Group.
  • Perform reconciliations across finance systems and reporting platforms, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies where required.
  • Assist with the preparation of key budgets and forecasts.
  • Support ad hoc project work, including data reviews and the preparation of reconciliations.

About You

  • Qualified accountant with strong understanding of financial reconciliations and data integrity, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to review and validate large volumes of financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations or finance transformation projects would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in an audit environment would be preferred.
