The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Medical Writer to lead the development of clear, accurate, and engaging content that communicates complex scientific information to diverse audiences, as a key member of our Medical Communications team. This is an opportunity for an established Senior Medical Writer to take ownership of high-profile projects, mentor junior colleagues and help shape the future of our scientific communications across a range of therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the delivery of projects across client accounts, taking ownership of budgets, timelines and scope, and acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams.
- Producing and reviewing clear, accurate, grammatically correct and creative written work across a variety of therapeutic areas, adapting your style for different audiences and formats.
- Providing guidance, coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues, and reviewing their work to support their development.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, key opinion leaders and internal teams.
- Contributing to strategic communication and publication planning in collaboration with clients and account teams.
- Ensuring adherence to industry guidelines, regulatory standards and best practice, and supporting colleagues in this area.
- Contributing to business development activities such as pitches, proposals and credentials presentations.
About You
- Established medical writing experience within a MedComms agency, with a demonstrated track record of leading projects.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of projects, budgets and timelines with minimal need for supervision.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and/or reviewing the work of junior colleagues.
- A confident communicator, comfortable building relationships with clients, key opinion leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt your writing style across multiple therapeutic areas, audiences and formats.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with sound commercial awareness of budgets and project scope.
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
