Location: UK Remote - occasional travel required to Manchester and London

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of our product function. This is a pivotal role where you will refine our product foundations, define and validate our product roadmap, and elevate our overall product capability.

You will bring strong Product Management experience within the life sciences sector ideally, applying industry knowledge and best practices to ensure our products deliver meaningful, real-world value to our customers in drug discovery. Or maybe you’ll bring your deep experience in AI and data and bringing products to market.

You will play a key role in shaping how we understand our customers, bring new products to market, and articulate and translate our product strategy into clear, actionable direction for both technical and commercial teams. You will also mentor and support two Product Managers, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Own and continuously evolve a compelling product roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Implement strategies to generate regular, robust customer and market insights and use these to refine and validate roadmap priorities
  • Develop a deep understanding of target customers, segments, and unmet needs
  • Ensure product decisions are data-driven and outcome-focused, delivering tangible value to customers and the business
  • Balance short-term commercial wins with long-term platform and product strategy
  • Ensure strong alignment across the organisation on product direction
  • Go-to-Market & Commercial Impact
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new products and major releases, including positioning, messaging, and launch execution
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive adoption, retention, and growth
  • Develop compelling product narratives, value propositions, and sales enablement materials
  • Track and optimise product performance against commercial KPIs (e.g. pipeline impact, ARR, expansion, churn)
  • Support pre-sales and post-sales engagements as a product and domain expert, partnering with the Customer Success team
  • Translate customer/market insights into clear product opportunities
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Support and mentor two Product Managers, maturing the overall standard of product thinking
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Improve tools, frameworks, and ways of working that drive product excellence
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Challenge traditional approaches and introduce modern, effective product practices
  • Drive experimentation, learning, and iteration across the product lifecycle
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, particularly within life sciences, and bring new ideas into the organisation

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Significant experience in Product Management, including time in a senior or lead role
  • Proven experience within the life sciences sector (e.g. biotech, pharma, healthcare, or related industries or a deep and credible background within data and AI)
  • Track record of building or transforming product functions
  • Experience developing and executing product strategies in growing or evolving organisations
  • Strong background in customer discovery, product validation, and data-driven decision making
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile environments
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive real, measurable value
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex ideas for different audiences
  • Deep understanding of modern product management practices and frameworks
  • Ability to influence and lead without formal authority including creating harmonious project teams
  • Highly collaborative, pragmatic, and outcome-oriented
  • Forward-thinking and adaptable, enjoys experimenting and trying new tools
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists
