Job Purpose The Stores Operative will be responsible for working as part of a team to support the running of the Warehouse, this will entail goods in and goods out services. They will also be responsible to meet and exceed internal quality and customer expectations, controlling stock levels, management of inventory, administrative duties for document control and supplier management. Key Accountabilities The Role? Checking & processing delivery notes within a dispatch environment. Load and unload lorries in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibility for stock maintenance & rotation. Use of computerised systems for booking in & recording stock. Receive/process shipments. Un-loading of goods received materials from delivery vehicles using an electrically powered counterbalance forklift truck. Stock taking of orders for dispatch and products in the warehouse. Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any faults or wear and tear. General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and any other duties as assigned. Promoting best practice Health and Safety, quality and environmental standards adhering to company policies and procedures. Experience & Qualifications What do I need? At least 2 years recent experience in a similar role. Valid forklift license. Familiar with stock control and allocation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
