The Role
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development and delivery of our advanced space-based biotechnology platforms. This role is critical in managing requirements, analysing system-level trade-offs, and ensuring compliance with space industry standards . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project organisation, systems integration, and cross-functional collaboration .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements management , ensuring traceability, verification, and alignment with overall system architecture.
- Analyse and maintain power and mass budgets , optimising system performance while adhering to mission constraints.
- Ensure compliance with ESA/NASA requirements , integrating industry best practices into system design and validation.
- Support system-level trade studies , balancing performance, risk, and cost considerations.
- Develop interface control documentation , ensuring smooth integration across hardware, software, and operational subsystems.
- Work closely with engineering, biotechnology, and space systems teams to coordinate project milestones and system integration.
- Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and verification plans throughout the development lifecycle.
- Assist with environmental testing and qualification of hardware for space environments.
