This is a brand-new role—perfect for a creative, forward-thinking professional ready to make a real impact.

Reporting to the HR Director, you’ll be part of a friendly and collaborative HR team, working in a hybrid setup, with our offices based at the beautiful Mercia Marina in Willington, Derby. With full ownership of L&D, you’ll design and implement high-impact training initiatives that empower both our head office teams and field-based staff. Experience in a clinical setting is a plus, but we also welcome transferable skills from other industries. If you're ready to shape the future of learning in our organisation, we want to hear from you!

About the Role
  • Create and implement a forward-thinking L&D strategy that aligns with Bionical Health’s business objectives and future skills needs.
  • Partner with managers and directors across the organisation to understand employee development needs and proactively deliver innovative learning solutions.
  • Benchmark current skills, identify strengths and gaps, and develop a future-focused approach to workforce capability.
  • Act as the go-to expert for employees seeking guidance on learning pathways and professional development.
  • Establish a clear framework for professional and mandatory qualifications required across different roles in the business.
  • Support leadership development, management training, and succession planning to future-proof the organisation.
  • Design and deliver core internal training, including the L&D section of corporate induction, while leveraging internal HR support or external providers as needed.
  • Maximise the Apprenticeship Levy, ensuring we fully utilise available funding for employee development.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity, catering to diverse learning needs, including neurodiverse individuals.
  • Build strong relationships with third-party training providers to enhance the organisation’s L&D offering.
  • Manage training budgets effectively, tracking spends and impact across departments.
What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a proactive and visionary L&D professional with a strong track record of shaping and delivering impactful learning strategies. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in HR, education, or a related field, along with a recognised L&D certification.
  • Proven experience in developing and rolling out L&D initiatives, ideally within the healthcare sector.
  • A solid understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (desirable).
  • A passion for cross-training and upskilling teams to drive business success.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
