This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months. The Finance team strives to be the best operators within the UK PE market, providing insight and operational financial support to the business to drive growth and promote a strong financial position. Over the last few years, the Finance team has grown significantly to give the business the infrastructure and capability to support its level of growth. This growth means that there are constant opportunities to accelerate your career and learn new areas of the business and the financials that underpin it.
With multiple companies and product verticals within the Bionic Group, the Finance Manager will have responsibility for ensuring accrued revenue is accurately recorded. They will work closely with our Commercial teams to ensure supplier issues are resolved and provide insight and analysis to Senior management. They will also be responsible for direct management of the Accounts Receivable Manager and Revenue Manager. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days a week working from our central London office.
The day to day As the Finance Manager your key responsibilities will be:
- Managing and developing a team of 5 (with 2 direct reports) including setting objectives and day to day management
- Providing analysis and insight to Senior Management
- Reviewing accrued revenue balances and calculating appropriate provisions
- Identifying and implementing process improvements within the team
- Forecasting cash receipts and delivering cash targets
- Working closely with the Commercial team to address supplier issues
- Prepare and provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis in response to requests from the business
- External reporting including ONS surveys
About you:
- Qualified accountant – ACA or equivalent
- Previous experience managing or supporting a team
- Strong technical background in finance, accounting and audit coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of computer literacy to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Appetite to learn, improve, and share the formula with others
- Ability to quickly learn new processes
- Happy to take on new tasks which may be challenging
- Able to understand and manage tasks of differing priority
- Can meet deadlines and communicate effectively if they cannot be met
- Comfortable with juggling different tasks of equal priority
