We help businesses save time, hassle and money by simplifying essential services such as energy, insurance, finance and connectivity. Today, we support more than 230,000 customers across the UK and are proud to serve the backbone of the British economy. Our mission is simple: to remove complexity so small businesses can focus on what they do best. We're driven by our DNA values: We're One Team, We Make a Difference and We Push for Greatness.

The Enterprise Business Development Lead is one of the most commercially impactful roles at Bionic, responsible for creating entirely new routes to market through strategic enterprise partnerships. This isn't a role for someone who waits for opportunities to arrive. We're looking for a natural hunter. Someone who can open doors, build credibility with senior decision-makers and turn ambitious ideas into revenue-generating partnerships.

Bionic already has a strong track record of acquiring customers through strategic distribution partnerships. As we enter our next phase of growth, you'll identify, win and launch new enterprise partnerships that put Bionic in front of thousands of SMEs, creating entirely new routes to market and accelerating customer growth. This role is perfect for a natural hunter. Someone who thrives on opening doors, creating momentum and turning conversations into commercial outcomes. Someone who combines strategic thinking with the energy, pace and determination to get deals over the line.

Working across Commercial, Product, Marketing and Operations, you'll combine strategic thinking with relentless execution to deliver partnerships that make a real difference to our customers and our business. Success in this role requires equal parts hunter, strategist and operator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively target and penetrate a defined list of high-value enterprise prospects, whilst continually identifying new strategic opportunities.
  • Own the complete sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through to complex commercial negotiations, contracting and signature.
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Commercial and Marketing teams to identify routes to market using Bionic’s existing capabilities whilst also shaping bespoke commercial propositions where required.
  • Model and forecast opportunities to ensure they deliver attractive commercial outcomes, balancing revenue potential against investment and implementation effort.
  • Lead opportunities through to launch, ensuring excellent internal handovers and maintaining momentum throughout implementation.
  • Continuously improve how we identify, pursue and convert enterprise partnership opportunities.
Measurable Success Outcomes
  • Success in this role will be defined by clear commercial impact: £1m–£3m per deal in annualised revenue potential from newly signed enterprise partnerships.
  • 3–6 new strategic enterprise partnerships signed per year, each with significant SME distribution potential.
  • £8m–£15m qualified pipeline generated annually, built through self-sourced enterprise activity and strategic outreach.
  • Average deal cycle of 6–12 months from first meaningful engagement to signed agreement, depending on complexity.
Requirements

The Person: We’re looking for someone who is exceptionally good at winning complex enterprise deals. Equally important, you’re someone who rolls your sleeves up. You’re as comfortable developing a partnership strategy as you are writing the outreach that secures the first meeting, building the commercial case or coordinating multiple internal teams to get a deal over the line. You understand that enterprise sales is won through persistence, credibility and flawless execution.

What Makes You Successful
  • Elite enterprise hunter: you have a proven track record of opening doors that initially appeared closed. You know how to build relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers across large organisations, creating opportunities where others see obstacles.
  • Commercially creative: you excel at identifying the right target accounts, segmenting markets and crafting compelling value propositions that resonate with different industries. You understand that the quality of the proposition and messaging is often what wins the first meeting. Experience creating business development content, campaigns or working closely with Marketing to develop high-performing outreach is highly desirable.
  • Executive presence: you can comfortably engage CEOs, Commercial Directors, Partnership Directors and Product leaders, adapting your style while maintaining credibility with every audience.
  • Master of execution: you don’t simply win signatures—you drive momentum from first conversation to successful launch. You obsess over execution, maintain pace and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Internal influencer: you know how to navigate a fast-moving business, bringing together Product, Technology, Marketing, Legal and Operations behind a common commercial goal. You build compelling business cases, influence priorities through commercial value and create momentum without relying on hierarchy or bureaucracy.
Skills & Expertise
  • Commercial modelling and deal structuring.
  • Complex enterprise negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, embedded solutions and technology ecosystems.
  • Exceptional value proposition design.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and project execution.
  • Excellent segmentation, account planning and enterprise prospecting capability.
Experience
  • 5–10 years’ experience in Enterprise Business Development or Strategic Partnerships, with significant experience securing enterprise-level partnerships.
  • A proven track record of personally originating, negotiating and closing major corporate partnerships.
  • Experience selling into large organisations with multiple stakeholders and complex buying processes.
  • Background within FinTech, SaaS, Banking, Technology, Marketplaces or similar high-growth B2B businesses would be highly advantageous.
