What you’ll be doing

  • Build and maintain back‑end services written in Node.js/TypeScript and Ruby/Rails.
  • Work on full‑stack, customer‑facing front‑end applications written in Nuxt.
  • Build infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, working with our serverless, event‑driven architecture.
  • Learn and develop on the Salesforce platform, creating batch jobs and improving our quoting tools.
  • Follow established engineering development standards and best practices.
  • Utilise AI in the software development lifecycle and in our solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve bugs and errors.
  • Ensure our software remains secure and robust.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to debug issues and explain your approach clearly.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js, preferably TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, with experience in a major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with Git and a basic understanding of CI/CD processes.
  • Confidence in the importance of testing in software engineering.
  • Ability to work in a structured delivery environment (tickets, priorities, deadlines).
  • A collaborative mindset, open to feedback through pairing, coaching, reviews, and mentoring.
  • Capacity to navigate ambiguous requirements, ask smart questions, and iterate toward solutions.
