About the Role
As the Senior Manager for Commercial Excellence (Strategy), you’ll play a key role in steering profitable growth across Bionic. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders, bringing structured thinking and sharp commercial analysis to questions like channel economics, resource allocation, and performance optimisation. You’ll shape the insight that informs executive decision‑making and produce the materials that drive those discussions. You’ll also contribute to major strategic initiatives including M&A, business case development, and cross‑functional projects that link strategy, finance, and operations. This role would suit someone with strong analytical instincts, a consultative mindset, and a track record in management consulting, corporate strategy, or commercial finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to the Head of Pricing & Profitability and senior leadership, shaping decisions through clear, insight‑driven narratives.
- Analyse core commercial performance metrics including acquisition costs, customer lifetime value, and contribution margins to guide decision making.
- Surface strategic opportunities to improve performance through pricing, channel mix, and conversion optimisation.
- Build reporting that strengthens visibility of profitability by channel and embed commercial accountability with channel leads.
- Develop, maintain, and stress‑test commercial models such as unit economics and profitability frameworks.
- Deliver scenario analysis to inform hiring decisions, resourcing choices, and operational trade‑offs.
- Work with Sales and Operations to align modelling outputs with channel growth plans.
- Support strategic projects and M&A through commercial due diligence, market analysis, and integration planning.
- Build and manage business cases for new verticals, propositions, and investment opportunities.
- Assess pricing and margin impacts of strategic initiatives and partner with CFO, CCO, and Finance on high‑impact ad‑hoc projects.
- Convert data into clear insights, trends, and recommendations for leadership forums.
- Coordinate inputs across Finance, Channel Leads, and Exec stakeholders to ensure reviews are focused, insight‑rich, and drive decisions.
- Produce high‑quality materials for weekly and quarterly profitability review sessions.
