This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing PMO function at the heart of a large transformation portfolio.
You'll play a key role in improving governance, reporting and portfolio oversight across a diverse range of technology, digital and business change initiatives.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll provide meaningful analysis that supports informed decision-making while helping the PMO evolve its processes, tooling and ways of working.
You'll be responsible for
- Producing consolidated portfolio reporting covering project status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, benefits and resource utilisation.
- Analysing delivery data to identify trends, emerging risks, capacity constraints and areas requiring management attention.
- Supporting portfolio prioritisation by providing insight into delivery confidence, dependencies, sequencing and resource impacts.
- Tracking project benefits throughout the delivery lifecycle, highlighting variances and reporting against expected outcomes.
- Preparing governance packs, dashboards and reporting for portfolio boards and steering groups, enabling effective decision-making.
- Supporting assurance activities including health checks, stage gate reviews and governance audits to ensure projects remain delivery-ready.
- Maintaining and improving PMO standards, governance frameworks, templates and reporting processes across the wider portfolio.
- Providing constructive challenge to Project Managers around governance, reporting quality, planning assumptions and project controls.
- Working with modern portfolio management tools to improve reporting accuracy, portfolio visibility and data-driven decision making.
- Identifying opportunities to continuously improve PMO processes, reporting capabilities and portfolio management practices.
- What you’ll bring to this role
We're looking for an experienced PMO Analyst who enjoys turning project data into meaningful insight and helping organisations deliver change more effectively.
This role would suit someone with several years' experience working within an established PMO who is confident operating across multiple projects and programmes rather than supporting individual project administration.
You'll ideally have
- 3-4+ years' experience working within a PMO, Portfolio Office or Programme Management Office environment.
- Strong experience producing portfolio-level reporting, dashboards and management information for senior stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, dependencies and delivery challenges from complex project data.
- A solid understanding of PMO governance, portfolio controls, assurance activities and delivery frameworks.
- Experience supporting project, programme and portfolio governance across multiple concurrent change initiatives.
- Confidence providing constructive challenge around governance standards, reporting quality, planning assumptions and delivery risks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A methodical, highly organised approach with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for data quality.
- Experience using portfolio management or project reporting tools, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms and maximise their reporting capabilities.
- A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance PMO processes, governance and portfolio maturity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established PMO Analyst looking to take ownership of portfolio insight and governance within a collaborative organisation that's investing heavily in improving the maturity of its change function.
