The Head of Global Pricing for BioMarin will lead a team of pricing experts utilizing their collective expertise in pricing analytics, healthcare systems, innovative pricing models and international pricing regulations to develop and govern Global pricing strategies. The selected candidate will support the implementation of such strategies by Country Access Teams. The role will be crucial in driving our mission to make life-changing therapies accessible to patients worldwide at prices that represent their value appropriately and that enable us to develop future groundbreaking medicines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Pricing Strategies: Collaborate with Global Access Leads to develop and refine pricing strategies that support our global access goals.
- Analytics and Insights: Conduct in-depth pricing analytics to understand market dynamics and competitive landscape.
- Governance and Compliance: Establish and manage pricing governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Supporting Country Access Leads: Provide guidance and support to Country Access Leads in the implementation of global pricing strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders including Global Access Leads, Country Access Leads, marketing teams, and senior management.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present pricing reports and insights to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in pricing strategy from either within a biotech or pharmaceutical company or a consultancy supporting a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent understanding of global market dynamics and regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated experience in governance and compliance within a pricing context.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
