Storeman / Driver (3.5t LWB Van) Location: Erith / South-East UK
Salary: Β£27,500 per annum
Hours: 7:00?am 4:00?pm (1?AM drop, 1?PM drop), overtime at 1.5 available
Role Overview We are seeking a reliable Storeman / Driver to operate a 3.5-tonne long wheelbase van, supporting door fixture deliveries and installations. You will work alongside two colleagues to safely hand-ball pallets of solid doors at client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and manage daily deliveries (1 drop in AM, 1 in PM) using a 3.5t LWB van
- Read order sheets accurately and pack door fixtures correctly for each route
- Assist unloading: forklift pre-loads van, then hand-ball pallets on arrival (with team support)
- Carry out heavy lifting safely, under supervision and with team assistance as needed
- Complete required paperwork and records (delivery notes, fixture logs, etc.)
- Communicate clearly in English (spoken and written) with site teams and colleagues
Candidate Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence (category B), held for minimum required period
- Proven driving experience (preferably with delivery vans and goods transport)
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling
- Excellent English communication abilities verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and work accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to daily tasks
Hours & Compensation
- Working hours: 7?am4?pm (two delivery runs per day)
- Overtime available: paid at 1.5
- Annual salary: Β£27,500, with opportunity for extra pay via overtime
- Hybrid and temporary-to-permanent options may be considered for the right candidate
