Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Kings Cross, London. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of carpentry and most general fabric trades. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £37,000, overtime and further training.

Package & Working hours

  • £37,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 07:00 am - 16:00 pm or 08:00 am - 17:00 pm
  • 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
  • No call out
  • Further training
  • Company pension

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Painting & Decorating
  • Basic lighting
  • Fixing Furniture
  • Hanging Pictures & Shelves
  • Maintain and update Log books
  • Assist the maintenance team on site
  • Escort sub-contractors
  • Undertake basic Fabric duties including touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor repairs to cabinets and desks, and assembling small equipment like chairs

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a maintenance or facilities environment
  • Relevant qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
  • An understanding of most building fabric duties
  • Good communication skills
  • Health & Safety experience
  • Basic PC literacy, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
