Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Kings Cross, London. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of carpentry and most general fabric trades. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £37,000, overtime and further training.
Package & Working hours
- £37,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday 07:00 am - 16:00 pm or 08:00 am - 17:00 pm
- 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Painting & Decorating
- Basic lighting
- Fixing Furniture
- Hanging Pictures & Shelves
- Maintain and update Log books
- Assist the maintenance team on site
- Escort sub-contractors
- Undertake basic Fabric duties including touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor repairs to cabinets and desks, and assembling small equipment like chairs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a maintenance or facilities environment
- Relevant qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent preferred)
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
- An understanding of most building fabric duties
- Good communication skills
- Health & Safety experience
- Basic PC literacy, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
