Air Conditioning Engineer role at Biological Consulting Europe Ltd. Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer β North East of England β HVAC Contractor: Commercial, Industrial & Public Sector. CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our clients team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience of industrial cooling and commissioning VRV/VRF air handling units. This is a mobile role, covering Tyne & Wear, County Durham & Teesside areas.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
- Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
- Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
- Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and customer service skills
Benefits
- Competitive salary between Β£42,000 β Β£44,000 per annum (depending on experience)

- Core hours are Monday β Friday (40 hours per week)
