Reporting to: Operations Manager
We are looking for a reliable, professional Driver to join our operations team. You’ll be responsible for transporting staff, assisting with house clearances, removals, waste collection, and supporting recycling operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our services run smoothly, safely, and legally across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Safely transport staff to and from job sites using company vehicles
- Assist with house moves including loading, securing, and unloading items
- Support waste clearance and recycling tasks as required on-site
- Follow agreed routes, schedules, and delivery times
- Ensure vehicle checks, cleanliness, and maintenance are completed daily
- Load and unload items in line with manual handling best practices
- Complete daily logs, delivery notes, and waste transfer paperwork accurately
- Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policies
- Communicate clearly with the team and supervisors throughout the day
- Report vehicle defects or safety concerns promptly
- Full, clean UK driving licence (Category B) essential
- Previous driving experience (multi-drop, waste, or removals preferred)
- Knowledge of UK road safety laws and basic vehicle checks
- Physically fit – able to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy items safely
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Experience using a sat nav and following structured routes
Desirable Qualifications (or willingness to obtain):
- Valid CPC card (if driving larger vehicles – optional depending on fleet)
- Tachograph knowledge (for Category C1/C vehicles)
- Asbestos Awareness, Sharps Awareness, or Waste Handling training
- Enhanced DBS check (may be required for some locations or sensitive sites)
