Reporting to: Operations Manager

We are looking for a reliable, professional Driver to join our operations team. You’ll be responsible for transporting staff, assisting with house clearances, removals, waste collection, and supporting recycling operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our services run smoothly, safely, and legally across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

  • Safely transport staff to and from job sites using company vehicles
  • Assist with house moves including loading, securing, and unloading items
  • Support waste clearance and recycling tasks as required on-site
  • Follow agreed routes, schedules, and delivery times
  • Ensure vehicle checks, cleanliness, and maintenance are completed daily
  • Load and unload items in line with manual handling best practices
  • Complete daily logs, delivery notes, and waste transfer paperwork accurately
  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policies
  • Communicate clearly with the team and supervisors throughout the day
  • Report vehicle defects or safety concerns promptly
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (Category B) essential
  • Previous driving experience (multi-drop, waste, or removals preferred)
  • Knowledge of UK road safety laws and basic vehicle checks
  • Physically fit – able to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy items safely
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • Experience using a sat nav and following structured routes

Desirable Qualifications (or willingness to obtain):

  • Valid CPC card (if driving larger vehicles – optional depending on fleet)
  • Tachograph knowledge (for Category C1/C vehicles)
  • Asbestos Awareness, Sharps Awareness, or Waste Handling training
  • Enhanced DBS check (may be required for some locations or sensitive sites)
  • Competitive hourly rate + overtime
