To provide support to the Compliance Director/Head of Compliance, Environment Manager, Regional Compliance Officers and Site Teams, leading on technical monitoring requirements, emissions testing, gas leak detection and submissions to the regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the emissions monitoring and undertaking olfactory emissions testing and gas leak detection sampling, monitoring, reporting and technical support across Biogen's sites.
- Taking the lead in drafting responses and identifying pragmatic and cost-effective solutions.
- Supporting the Compliance Team on annual reports and pollution inventory returns for the sites as required by the permits, approvals, and planning permissions.
- Supporting technical submissions, e.g., dispersion modelling, for permit variations and renewals to the EA, planning authorities and other relevant bodies as required.
- This role requires regular nationwide travel as the company operates a national network of sites.
