Senior Plant Maintenance Engineer
You will join us as a Senior Plant Maintenance Engineer deputising for the Site Manager, assisting in the safe, compliant and efficient running of the site.
You will lead the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System, managing planned downtime of key equipment for safe and cost‑effective overhaul.
You will also be responsible for prioritising and responding to reactive maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System and manage planned downtime of key equipment.
- Prioritise and respond to reactive maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Follow procedures and protocols.
- Manage costs and budgets.
- Operate telehandler trucks and maintain a valid UK driving licence.
- Work weekends, call‑outs on a rota basis, and remote monitor the AD Process.
Requirements
- Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally with experience from a related process industry.
- Experience in engineering, PLC controls or electronics is an advantage.
- Experience with materials handling, confined spaces, working at heights, and first aid.
- Experience with environmental, safety, and quality management systems.
- Experience with planned preventive maintenance systems.
- Strong ability to follow procedure and protocol.
- Experience in cost control and budget management.
- Self‑motivated, flexible, good people‑management skills.
- Telehandler licence or ability to obtain one.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work weekends and be on call.
- Training
Training will be provided to achieve the internal Competency Management Standards (WAMITAB) and a NEBOSH general certificate if not already held.
