Implements pricing strategy of assigned products.
Develops EU+ launch plans (and sequences).
Develops and manages the Access Planning Tool (for pre-launch products).
Facilitates the price action/exception governance process; collaborates with Affiliates and EU+ regional market access to develop business cases and recommendations to be presented to EU+ P&R Council.
Provides necessary pricing support to EU+ regional market access leads when addressing country market access challenges.
Develops a strong understanding of therapeutic areas and payer landscapes.
Stays on top of payer access management policies in therapeutic areas.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of EU+ treatment dynamics, algorithms and disease guidelines in relation to payer guideline trends.
Understands patient populations and segments of varying unmet medical need.
Oversees pricing analysts: availability of current marketplace pricing information, requests from affiliates and other internal stakeholders for pricing information, ad-hoc analytics.
Ensures quarterly P&R database updates reflect current knowledge of price and reimbursement status for Biogen portfolio.
Routinely monitors BIIB and competitor price and reimbursement activity with Affiliates and via secondary information services.
Leads price forecasting process for assigned products, scans horizon for anticipated price actions. Works with EU+ finance during the AOP and LRP process milestones. Provides pricing inputs to forecasting in collaboration with finance and EU+ regional access.
Collaborates with Affiliates and EU+ regional market access to develop appropriate tendering and innovative schemes strategies.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years related healthcare experience; including experience with pricing and reimbursement strategy and analysis (tendering, contracting, negotiations).
- Strong MS Excel skills including experience in developing financial models.
The (Sr.) Manager Pricing and Reimbursement will implement and follow through pricing and reimbursement strategy for Biogen Idec products in EU+, serving as the “price management and implementation” point of contact for Biogen portfolio. With the Brand leads, he/she will work collaboratively to support local price negotiation strategies, innovative access schemes and manage diversions from global price policy.
