We are seeking a Mobile Fabric Engineer / Painter & Decorator to carry out planned and reactive maintenance within commercial offices and high-end residential buildings across London & Hertfordshire. The role requires a strong understanding of facilities maintenance and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally from a painting & decorating background.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Painting & decorating work.
- Assist with office moves, including minor furniture relocation.
- Perform basic fabric duties: touch-upping paint, tiling, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor cabinet and desk repairs, and assembling small equipment such as chairs.
- Carry out plumbing tasks such as clearing blockages, attending to burst pipes, replacing components, and servicing systems.
- Liaise with the contract management team.
- Investigate complaints and take appropriate action.
- Provide progress feedback to the helpdesk on M&E jobs.
- Carry out specialist technical and non-technical work as required for the maintenance function on the client portfolio.
- Offer technical support and backup as required.
- Ensure all personnel and contractors working in hazardous areas adopt safety measures to prevent danger, injury, and damage.
- Use all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines.
- Ensure the client receives the highest level of service by carrying out reactive and planned maintenance and minor improvements.
- Complete jobs to a high standard.
- Assist multi-skilled engineers where required.
Hours of Work & Package Information
- Basic salary up to Β£45,000.
- Monday to Friday, 05:45 am to 17:00 pm.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Company vans and fuel cards.
- Tablet and work phone provided.
- Full company uniform supplied.
Requirements
- Qualified Painter & Decorator.
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
- Multi-skilled / multi-trade.
- Good communication skills.
