Biocatalysts is comprised of 4 companies, headquartered in Cardiff (Wales, UK) and co-located in Nieuwkuijk (Netherlands), Tampa (Florida, USA) and Ascheberg (Germany). Brought together as an integrated Bioproducts Division in October 2023, it is a wholly owned subsidiary of BRAIN Biotech Group, based in Zwingenberg (Germany). We serve customers globally in markets such as food, baking, beverage and pharma / life science, with a view to become and stay the worlds leading speciality enzyme company and by the quality and dedication of our people, exceed our customers expectations.

Position

To perform all the required housekeeping laboratory tasks to support the work of scientists and technicians.

Requirements

  • Routine cleaning activities within Micro lab, HEPA room, laboratory and cold room.
  • Responsible for chemical inventory and sample retention systems.
  • Responsible for waste disposal and stock level checks.
  • Following simple laboratory protocols / work instructions for media, buffer and plate making.
  • Calibration activities (including pipettes and balances).
  • Routine cleaning and maintenance of non-analytical lab equipment.
  • Communicating with our facilities department for repair of any broken small equipment.
  • Good laboratory practice, good document practice and housekeeping.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
