Casual Driver – join Biocair and play a vital role transporting time‑critical and temperature‑sensitive consignments between facilities, supporting scientific research worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and processed for each shipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse, checking that temperature‑controlled areas remain within prescribed parameters.
- Report any packaging stock shortfalls to maintain optimal inventory levels and keep storage logs accurate to 100%.
- Keep vehicle clean and perform daily and weekly maintenance checks, carrying out simple maintenance tasks as required.
- Build positive working relationships with other drivers, departments and management to deliver excellent customer service and proactively overcome problems.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Current Category B (or equivalent) driving licence with no more than 3 points.
- Previous experience driving a commercial van (Mercedes Sprinter MWB/LWB, Mercedes Vito, Maxus eDeliver9 or similar).
- Confident driving a manual transmission.
- Strong time‑pressure management and accurate documentation skills.
- Experience in cold‑chain or time‑sensitive freight forwarding or pharmaceutical logistics (highly desirable).
- Resilience, teamwork and strong working relationship building.
Location: Warrington office, Monday to Friday shifts ranging from 04.00 – 18.00. This is a UK‑based casual worker role; right to live and work in the UK required. No visa sponsorship.
