As the Senior Import Coordinator at Biocair, you will be involved in ensuring timely customs clearance and delivery of imports to the UK. Compliant submission of customs entries either directly or through approved brokers. Provide consistent and reliable customer service to all clients and offices. Deliver the highest quality service by ensuring all imports are managed efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. Additionally, lead subject matter expertise for key areas, including standing instructions, liaising with overseas clients and internal offices, quality and compliance, and staff development within the Heathrow office.
Responsibilities
- Perform and lead main import functions of the LHR operation and provide support in other areas as required.
- Train, mentor, and coach team members to build an experienced and skilled Air Import Department.
- Ensure all import permits and documentation are present for compliant customs entry.
- Liaise with customers and brokers to ensure accurate and timely customs declarations in accordance with HMRC regulations.
- Identify potential issues and implement pre-emptive measures to meet service levels.
- Provide customers with regular, accurate shipment updates and complete post-shipment tasks (e.g., temperature data retrieval, return logistics).
Competencies
- Experience of working within an air import role.
- Customs Entry submissions using Sequoia or equivalent.
- Up to date knowledge of customs CPCs and HTS codes.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team player with the ability to work on own and as part of a team.
- Highly self-organised, able to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

Role Details
This is a full time role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 with a shift rotation of: 07:00 to 16:00 / 08:00 to 17:00 / 09:00 to 18:00 and is offered as 100% onsite based at our London Heathrow office (TW4 6ER).
