BioBax is a small, growing manufacturer of environmentally responsible cleaning products, based in Skelmanthorpe. We are looking for an experienced, organised and commercially minded person to join our team in a varied office-based role. The role will involve customer contact, sales support, cold calling, quotations, follow-up, account support and prospecting. There will also be some general office administration from time to time, as you would expect in a small business. This is not a narrow admin job, and it is not a scripted telesales role.

We are looking for someone who is confident speaking to people, comfortable making outbound calls, able to build rapport and organised enough to keep good records and follow things through. The right person will be able to use their judgement, work with a fair amount of independence and turn their hand to different tasks when needed.

  • Calling existing and potential customers by phone
  • Making cold calls to suitable prospects
  • Following up enquiries, quotations and previous conversations
  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Booking appointments and supporting sales activity
  • Preparing quotations and helping move them through to orders
  • Keeping customer records accurate and up to date
  • Sending product information and follow-up emails
  • Helping with occasional general office administration

What we are looking for:

  • Experience, common sense and a good manner with people
  • Experience in sales, telesales, customer service, business development, account support or an office-based commercial role would be useful
  • Confident on the phone
  • Comfortable making outbound and cold calls
  • Clear and professional when writing to customers
  • Organised, accurate and reliable
  • Able to build rapport without sounding scripted
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload
  • Good with detail, especially around quotations and customer records
  • Practical, calm and willing to help where needed
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable using, or learning to use, systems such as Sage, CRM software or similar business tools
