The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within the Reagent Solutions Division. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving strategic, high impact projects that enable our customers towards innovation and life-changing breakthroughs. This role offers the opportunity of managing multiple projects of differing types and scopes. You will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring that they meet all objectives within scope, time, and budget constraints. We’re looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment – someone with strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities- Define the scope, goals, deliverables, timelines and roadblocks of projects in collaboration with relevant project stakeholders.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules and resource plans by closely monitoring timelines, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
- Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
- Facilitate project meetings, maintain documentation, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Maintain clear and open communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of project progress, challenges and milestones.
- Provide direction and support to project team to eliminate roadblocks, acquire resources, and overcome schedule constraints.
- Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
- Anticipate project roadblocks and engage relevant resources to address.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project output.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, etc.) required.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in biotech, life sciences, or academia.
- Experience with ISO 0991, GMP, ISO 13485 compliance.
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
- Skilled in problem solving; working with the Project Team, assessing problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations that meet company goal.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software (such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, etc.), Simple accounting, Data base management, spreadsheets, Standard Office software (Microsoft Office).
- Strong organizational skills: Setting priorities, developing a work schedule, monitoring progress towards goals, and tracking details/data/information/activities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance project effectiveness.
- Skilled in decision making; Strong ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
- Skilled in planning to determine strategies to move the project forward, create and implement actions to minimize delays, and anticipate requirements/actions to maintain schedule.
