All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time.

Position Summary

The key purpose of an internship at Bio-Techne is to offer students practical 'on the job' training and experience within IT. In doing so, it will allow the intern to explore their own career path and gain valuable knowledge in a broad range of IT and business skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to a local and remote workforce demonstrating good communication skills across a multi-cultural environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems for a range of systems and software in a timely manner.
  • Set up and configure new software following established procedures.
  • Participate in software & hardware upgrades and assist with network administration.
  • Work within a well-structured and motivated IT team.
  • Be flexible and willing to take on tasks as assigned by their supervisor.

Program Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in a field relevant to the internship.
  • Must have completed (at minimum) a second year at college.
  • Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program.

Experience Qualifications

  • Must possess a reasonable level of IT competence, preferably attained via a previous role or IT course at school or college.
  • Have a broad understanding of good communication and its importance.
  • Demonstrate motivation and a willingness to learn.
  • Be punctual and smart in their appearance.
