Summary of Role: To manage all maintenance activities including people management to a large, anaerobic digestion facility whilst being hands on with the maintenance and operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high levels of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) practice, demonstrating a duty of care to all personnel and the environment.
- Maintain and operate the plant following policy and procedure.
- Management of technicians and operator personnel.
- Managing the maintenance processes including PPM inspections, reactive maintenance, and projects.
- Implement and manage a robust reactive and planned maintenance programme in line with group engineering and Maintenance policies for mechanical, electrical, gas, and fluid processing equipment.
- Lead any assigned projects to ensure that process security and performance is maintained throughout.
- Management and control of contractors.
- Ensure the site has sufficient and capable personnel through effective recruitment, training, development, and management.
- Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements to enhance the facility and operations on review of plant efficiencies and operational KPIs.
- Oversee procurement and ensure thorough management of general and critical spares stock.
- Management of the Asset register.
- Complete On Call duties as per the rota.
- Occasionally deputise for the Plant Manager when absent or on leave, including overseeing all operations within the business and managing key functions to ensure operational efficiency, safety and compliance are optimal and upheld.
- Meet company KPIs and budget expectations by effective management and operation of the plant.
- Report on Maintenance KPI as set by the group maintenance manager.
- Compilation of job close-out reports and commissioning of projects and remedial works to assets.
