Technical Services Director Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for a Technical Services Director to lead and expand the technical services capability.
The role reports to the Director of Water Services and includes defining and implementing a growth strategy for the technical services business, delivering specialist expertise to UK and international projects, and supporting an expanding external client base.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Technical Services Leadership Lead and continuously develop the technical services department in a safe and healthy manner.
Ensure high‑quality technical delivery, robust technical governance, assurance, and quality control processes are embedded across all projects.
Define and implement a technical services strategy aligned with business year‑on‑year growth objectives.
Develop specialist capabilities and centres of excellence to strengthen competitive advantage in all technical services teams.
Collaborate with wider Binnies and RSK technical networks to share expertise and leverage best practice.
Share information and good practice as a member of the Water Services Leadership Team.
Client Focus Uphold relationships with Binnies internal stakeholders to ensure their technical service project needs are met.
Maintain an in‑depth understanding of the markets that the technical services teams work in and future client challenges.
Develop winning professional services proposals that encompass financial, commercial and technical considerations.
Develop work‑winning client relationships with new and existing clients, supported by subject‑matter experts.
People Management Provide direct leadership of the technical services department heads, including succession planning and capability development.
Support the development, appraisal and wellbeing of professionals within the technical services teams.
Coordinate technical services resources across projects, business units and P plan and manage watersheds; harness the energy embedded in the treatment and movement of water and enhance sustainability.
