The Vacancy
BWGM Joint Venture combines the considerable water sector skills and experience of two RSK companies, Binnies UK and WGM Engineering. This exciting partnership combines 100 years of Binniesβ engineering expertise with WGMβs unique engineering solutions with access to their in-house fabrication, specialist coatings and workshop facilities. Here at BWGM we provide a self-delivery design and build approach for non-infrastructure project delivery, turnkey capital projects, new build solutions, capital maintenance projects, process plant integration and commissioning.
Our inhouse self-delivery strategy provides improved assurance, affordability, quality, safety, communications, innovation, and collaboration. Our projects are led by experienced programme and project managers to drive efficiencies. We are committed to innovation, carbon reduction, continuous learning, and improvement in the way we work to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and improve efficiency. Role purpose:
The Sub Agent will be responsible for assisting in all delivery preparation activities in and during operational life of programmed work. This will be done by focusing on the below key points:
β’ Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with relevant stakeholders.
β’ Co-ordinating general logistics, procurement and site activities.
β’ Preparing project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
β’ Collate engineering specifications in order to generate supply chain enquiries.
β’ Review / create detailed and accurate Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
β’ Undertake site surveys, taking measurements, photos, asking questions of operations, understanding of process, assessing access and egress.
β’ Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise β utilising the teams technical expertise as required.
β’ Supporting project needs and coordinating activity between key stakeholders.
β’ Drive and lead procurement of materials and services.
β’ Evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within the schedule.
β’ Attend client and operational meetings.
β’ Liaise with clients.
β’ Regularly reporting projects progress and updates to Senior Management.
β’ Defect management and close out of defects.
β’ Supplier management: Day to day liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors.
β’ Assessment of supplier quotations.
β’ Programme management: adherence to programmes and report to management on any discrepancies.
β’ Tendering: preparation of tenders, passing to management for review and final sign off.
β’ Attendance at supplier premises to inspect completed works.
β’ Support management team, supervisors and team leaders where required.
β’ Ensuring compliance with CDM & HSE regulations.
β’ Delivery to time and cost
β’ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
β’ Any other reasonable duties as required.
Additional duties β Dependent on role placement:
β’ Support the development of the bWGM Joint Venture
β’ Expected to train to Approved Person (AP) level in relation to Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and Isolation Safety Rules (ISR) where appropriate to the role.
β’ To carry out the duties of the Approved Person (AP), meeting the respective technical standard.
