Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join our Water Utilities team to support our expanding workload within the water industry. Our team consults, delivers and manages projects in the water industry. We support a flexible base location with opportunities for home working, office working or a mixture of both.
The Project Manager will be accountable for the planning and execution of our projects to the defined scope, cost and programme to meet our Clientβs requirements. They will also engage with clients and implement resource management strategy to drive successful framework delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, execute, monitor and control projects in terms of scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management for projects varying in revenue.
- Effectively control and manage project change.
- Deliver projects to the As-Sold financial metrics or better.
- Contract management under a variety of framework and standalone contracts.
- Understand client performance requirements and develop strategy to deliver value to all parties.
- Assess the technical and commercial risk of projects during the sales process.
- Create and review proposals and costings for new projects.
- Implements resource management strategy for professionals across multiple projects/programmes.
- Ensures compliance with quality management systems, and drives innovation and efficiencies into project delivery.
- Provides leadership, guidance and direction to others in the coordination and delivery of multi-disciplinary appraisals and designs.
- Organise and chair professional client meetings.
- Coaches and mentors professionals including performance management, career planning and learning and development.
Attributes:
- Professional qualification in Project Management and/or an engineering discipline.
- Proven ability to plan, execute, monitor and control projects.
- Leadership skills to manage project teams and create positive change.
- Motivated to manage projects in the water sector.
- Experience in a project management role on consultancy projects.
- Understanding of consultancy commercial models for both project delivery and tender development.
- Knowledge of programme management using Microsoft Project or other suitable software.
