Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group, is hiring a Senior Planner to support our Delivery team on UK Water Engineering and Construction projects. This role will play a key part in our DCWW AMP8 framework in Wales, alongside wider Design and Construct projects across England, Scotland, and Wales. With a heritage of over 100 years and projects delivered in more than 100 countries, we offer the scope to shape large-scale, meaningful infrastructure work—wherever you are based.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Planner, you will take ownership of planning and project controls across individual projects and programme-level delivery. You will work closely with project teams and client stakeholders, ensuring robust programme development, accurate reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring contractual and procedural alignment.
- Lead planning and controls functions across multiple projects.
- Integrate suppliers’ programmes and monitor critical path and float.
- Assess programme impact related to compensation events, claims, and time extensions.
- Produce progress reports and communicate milestones and risks to management and clients.
- Support and guide junior planners, helping build our growing planning capability.
Essential Requirements
- Strong background in planning and project controls.
- Proven experience managing multi-project programme delivery.
- Exposure to multi-disciplinary design, construct, and commissioning works—ideally within the Water sector.
- Advanced experience in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Degree or relevant experience within Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Desirable
- Design programme development experience.
- Water and wastewater sector knowledge.
- NEC contract familiarity.
- Earned Value Analysis.
- 4D modelling.
- Chartered status.
