Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is looking for Senior Civil Engineers working within our Delivery group on Non-Infra UK Water Engineering projects. Binnies offers possibilities on an international scale with offices worldwide and projects completed in over 100 countries. You can work on exciting global projects regardless of your physical location.
Functioning as a technical specialist and/or in a lead role, you will be developing and applying advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches. At Binnies, we offer flexible/hybrid/part-time and remote working patterns with a flexible UK base location.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Prepare calculations and develop civil engineering deliverables (models, drawings, and reports) whilst adhering to project budgets, schedules, and quality systems.
- Provide guidance to others and support continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members on complex projects.
- Prepare a variety of complex civil engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects.
- Develop recommendations for materials and construction techniques.
- Develop specifications for the identification, collection, and management of data for engineering work.
- Serve as a technical specialist and use knowledge and skill set to provide advice and guidance to project teams.
- Mentor and develop junior staff.
- Be fully conversant and comply with all aspects of health & safety duties of Designers.
- Civil Engineering Design and/or Hydraulics/Structural background.
- Experience in design and build.
- Knowledge & Experience in the design and checking of non-infrastructure water/wastewater treatment works design.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of civil engineers and associated specialists (structural, geotechnical, and hydraulics) and to interface with other disciplines in the production of engineering deliverables.
