The Vacancy:

Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing Water Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering projects across the water industry, working with major clients including Thames Water and Southern Water.

Our Water Services team consults, delivers and manages a diverse portfolio of projects, bringing together civil, process and MEICA engineering, network modelling, environmental assessment and nature-based solutions to help address some of the industry's biggest challenges. The opportunity:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of the successful planning and delivery of projects, ensuring they are delivered to the required scope, cost, programme and quality standards. You’ll work closely with clients, project teams and wider stakeholders, while helping to shape resource strategies and drive successful delivery across our frameworks.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan, execute, monitor and control projects across scope, programme, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management.
  • Manage contracts across a variety of framework and standalone arrangements.
  • Understand client requirements and develop strategies that deliver value for all parties.
  • Identify, assess and manage technical and commercial project risks.
  • Create and review proposals and costings for new projects and changes in scope.
  • Develop and implement resource management strategies across multiple projects and programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems while driving innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues, supporting performance, career development, learning and growth.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and wider stakeholders through clear and effective communication.

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering engineering professional services projects. You’ll ideally bring:

  • A professional qualification in Project Management and/or an engineering discipline.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to create positive change within project teams.
  • An understanding of consultancy commercial models across both project delivery and tender development.
  • Experience of programme management using Microsoft Project or similar software.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrable customer–facing project management experience and strong client relationship management skills.
  • Experience working within the water industry or a transferable sector.
