We are recruiting a Primavera P6 Planner for our Water Services Major Projects Business Unit.

Location: Flexible

Working: Hybrid / Flexible

About the Role:

Binnies – an RSK Group company – is recruiting a Primavera P6 Planner for the Water Services Major Projects Business Unit. We are seeking a highly organised and detail‐oriented Project Planner to support the planning, coordination, and execution of major water industry projects. The primary purpose of the role is to develop, monitor and update project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring project milestones and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget. Successful applicants will be able to work flexibly from one of our offices. The ability to travel to client and Binnies offices is essential.

  • Anglian Water's Fens and Lincs Reservoirs

About You:

This role would suit an individual with a proven track record in the successful delivery of water and engineering projects. You should be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, from design through construction and commissioning
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers and site teams to gather inputs and integrate project timelines
  • Monitor progress, identify potential delays and propose mitigation strategies
  • Update schedules to reflect changes in scope, resources or timelines
  • Produce and analyse critical path and earned value reports
  • Create weekly and monthly look‐ahead programmes for construction teams and stakeholders
  • Interface with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure schedule alignment
  • Prepare progress reports, dashboards and planning documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Maintain a positive, solution‐oriented approach, providing open and honest feedback
  • Be aware of customer requirements to enhance satisfaction and perception
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality

Attributes & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology preferred (or equivalent relevant experience/training)
  • Proven experience (3–5+ years) as a Planner / Scheduler in the construction industry
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, methodologies and project life cycles
  • Experience with project controls tools such as MS Project, Excel, Power BI (desirable)
  • Knowledge of delay analysis techniques and risk management (advantageous)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
