Locations: Redhill. Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group, is looking for Lead Civil Engineers working within our Delivery group on Non-Infrastructure UK Water Engineering projects. Functioning as a technical specialist and/or in a lead role, you will be developing and applying advanced engineering techniques, concepts and approaches. At Binnies, we offer flexible/hybrid/part-time and remote working patterns with a flexible UK base location.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems and applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Prepare calculations and develop civil engineering deliverables (models, drawings and reports) whilst adhering to project budgets, schedules and quality systems.
- Provide guidance to others and support continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members on complex projects.
- Prepare a variety of complex civil engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects.
- Develop recommendations for materials and construction techniques.
- Develop specifications for the identification, collection and management of data for engineering work.
- Serve as a technical specialist and use knowledge and skill set to provide advice and guidance to project teams.
- Mentor and develop junior staff.
- Be fully conversant and comply with all aspects of health & safety duties of Designers.
- Civil Engineering Design and/or Hydraulics/Structural background.
- Experience in design and build.
- Knowledge & Experience in the design and checking of non-infrastructure water/wastewater treatment works design.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of civil engineers and associated specialists (structural, geotechnical and hydraulics) and to interface with other disciplines in the production of engineering deliverables.
