Binnies, an RSK Group company, is recruiting a Graduate Environmental Impact Assessment Consultant to join our industry-respected consultancy group in Chester.

Location: Chester

Salary: £30,500

Contract Type: Full Time Permanent

Closing Date: 30/06/2026

We provide comprehensive training, mentoring, and a Graduate Training Scheme, and work to support progression towards professional membership and eventual Chartership. The role will include the opportunity to develop an environmental specialism such as water or natural capital.

Responsibilities

  • Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) - assisting with undertaking all aspects of EIA at all stages of the project, including SEA, feasibility, screening/scoping, reporting.
  • Writing supporting documents for planning applications and other environmental consents.
  • Providing general environmental support on a wide range of projects including fluvial and coastal flood risk management, water utility, rail, renewable/energy projects and other large scale infrastructure.
  • Supporting environmental fieldwork.
  • Liaising with project teams, clients, stakeholders and the public as required.

Qualifications

  • Have an environmental related degree;
  • Have or working towards membership of IEMA or similar professional institute.
  • Have a sound understanding of EIA.
  • Have excellent written and oral communication.
  • Enjoy innovation and embracing advances in technology and ecology.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
