Graduate Civil Site Engineer
Employer: Binnies, part of the RSQ Group, delivering UK Water Framework Projects
As a Civil Site Engineer, you will be taking part in our development programme. You will be a valued member of our highly experienced and widely respected team at Binnies.
Responsibilities
- Undertake site surveys and levelling to establish benchmarks to facilitate accurate setting out
- Setting out duties including but not limited to pipelines, earthworks and structures
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
- Work closely with the client, design team, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure successful delivery of the project
- Monitor and inspect construction activity to ensure quality requirements and project specifications are met
- Create and distribute 4 week lookaheads and report into Section Engineer
- Assist the project team in the creation of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and other project documentation in line with Binnies H&S & Quality processes
- Maintain accurate record keeping of site tasks, site diaries, as-built drawings and minutes of meetings
Attributes
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Experienced in the use of surveying equipment (Total Stations / GPS)
- Desire to work proactively towards Incorporated or Chartered membership of the ICE, CIWEM or other equivalent institutions
- Desirable experience with the use of CAD or similar software
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Self-motivated and effective team player
- Full UK driving license
- Flexible and able to work in multiple locations
