Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Field Specialist to join our expanding Asset Management team. Asset Management covers the full lifecycle of physical infrastructure – from concept through to disposal – supporting clients across the water, transport, industrial, and energy sectors in the UK and global markets. This role sits within a newly formed and exciting Field Services team, offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to support business growth and deliver high-quality services to our clients.

You will be a valued member of our highly experienced and respected Asset Management team.

Key Duties
  • Operate within safe systems of work, promoting excellent health, safety, and wellbeing standards
  • Develop technical skills to support client needs and business growth
  • Liaise with client operational teams to deliver surveys and condition assessments
  • Support the Field Services growth strategy across:
  • People: Role development, team structure, goal setting, and performance
  • Process: Improving scalable, sustainable, and innovative ways of working
  • Collaboration: Working closely with clients and the wider Binnies team

  • Asset Condition Assessments
  • Asset Data Capture
  • 3D Photogrammetry
  • Site Surveys
  • Asset Monitoring

  • Personal development and succession planning
  • Continuous improvement of field delivery capability
  • Implementation of innovative solutions to complex challenges
Working Relationships
  • Internally: Member of the Field Services Team within Asset Management, supporting projects and collaborating with other departments
  • Externally: Regular interaction with clients, contractors, customers, and third parties
Travel Requirement

This role involves extensive travel across the UK, including occasional time away from home, to support field-based project activities.

Essential Requirements
  • A range of qualifications will be considered (GCSEs, A-Levels, apprenticeships, etc.), based on experience
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome
Desirable Requirements
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or working towards)
  • Other relevant health & safety qualifications
  • Experience or awareness of:
  • Asset Management
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Water & Wastewater Treatment Processes
  • Water & Wastewater Infrastructure
Background & Experience
  • Experience working within a positive team culture
  • Background in fieldwork within an operational environment
  • Proven ability to deliver to targets, budget, and quality
  • Confident communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Knowledge Base
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office, GIS mapping tools)
  • Understanding of asset-intensive industries (e.g. water, energy, transport, manufacturing)
Skills & Certifications (Desirable)
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience driving commercial vehicles
  • EUSR Water Hygiene
  • CSCS Card
  • NRSWA qualification
  • CALM Networks training
