Binnies an RSK Group company is looking for a Document Control Manager to join us as part of our @one Alliance .
What will you be doing as our new Document Control Manager?
As our new Document Control Manager, you will split your time between managing the department and working as a Document Controller.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the small document control department, leading a team of 2-4 Document Controllers, managing this resource to support all BIM 360 support required across the Alliance. As a Document Controller you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administration of project, engineering files and support the flow of information by providing consistent support to the Engineering team, ensuring compliance with relevant processes and procedures and the correct use of the Document Management System.
Key responsibilities:
• Management and mentoring of 2-4 Document Controllers and their workload.
• Communication with Autodesk to develop the BIM 360 platform and address issues identified.
• Supporting all to ensure BIM 360 projects are managed in accordance with the Engineering procedure.
• Providing administrative support to project teams e.g. establishing review workflows, adding project team members to projects in BIM 360 and setting and managing permissions, identifying risks to the security of information.
• Undertaking regular reviews of projects on BIM 360, monitoring compliance with the relevant policies and procedures.
• Continuous coaching/mentoring members of the Engineering team on the correct use of BIM 360 Docs.
• Working alongside the Design Managers to identify the opportunity to develop procedures, guidance and training materials, as required.
• Building strong relationships with project stakeholders at all levels to ensure that the use of BIM 360 Docs is understood, supported and the value is effectively communicated.
