Remote Working – This role offers remote or hybrid working, with travel to UK sites and offices as required. Full-time Permanent. The Director of Environmental Consultancy will provide strategic leadership and full P&L responsibility for the Environmental Consultancy and Solutions by Nature businesses. You will drive business strategy, commercial performance, and sustainable growth while ensuring safe, high-quality delivery of environmental and nature-based solutions services. Leading multidisciplinary teams across the water and wider critical infrastructure sectors, you will play a key role in advancing nature-based solutions, environmental net gain, and integrated environmental services. As a relationship-focused leader, you will shape client engagement, drive growth opportunities, and work closely with sector leaders and client teams to align environmental capability with wider Binnies and RSK Group objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visible and inclusive leadership across Environmental Consultancy and Solutions by Nature, championing health, safety, wellbeing, quality, and environmental compliance.
  • Develop and mentor senior team leaders, technical specialists, and emerging talent, building capability, succession, and a high-performing culture aligned with Binnies values.
  • Take full P&L responsibility, driving commercial performance, sustainable growth, forecasting accuracy, and delivery against budgets and business objectives.
  • Lead business planning, financial reviews, and resource strategy to ensure effective utilisation, capability development, and operational efficiency.
  • Define and deliver environmental consultancy and nature-based solutions strategies aligned with market drivers across the water and wider critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Lead client engagement and market insight activities to shape growth opportunities, maintain senior relationships, and support major bids, frameworks, and new service propositions.
  • Ensure the safe, high-quality and commercially robust delivery of environmental and nature-based solutions projects across a diverse portfolio.
  • Oversee governance, risk management, resource planning, and continuous improvement, while working collaboratively across Binnies and the wider RSK Group to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Degree qualified in a relevant environmental discipline (or equivalent experience/training) and Chartered with a relevant professional institution.
