Role
Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team (15–20 people) delivering a £110m portfolio of wastewater treatment projects across multiple catchments, focusing on phosphorus removal, storm overflow reduction, and future growth using a holistic, place-based approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design delivery across a portfolio of complex wastewater projects
- Manage engineering plans covering scope, programme, cost, risk and resources
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver outcomes
- Drive affordability, sustainability and low‑carbon design solutions
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and champion health & safety
- Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team
- Promote innovation, standardisation and digital engineering (e.g. 3D modelling)
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (or equivalent); Chartered or working towards
- Experience leading engineering teams and delivering design on capital projects
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and design responsibilities
- Wastewater or utilities experience desirable
- Strong leadership, collaboration and problem‑solving skills
- Passion for sustainability, innovation and continuous improvement
