The predicted salary is between 500 - 1500 £ per month.
This is a hands-on placement where you will be treated as a valued member of the FCE team. You’ll receive structured training, mentoring, and ongoing support to develop your technical and professional skills while completing your degree. For high-performing placement students, there is strong potential to progress into a graduate role within the FCE team upon successful completion of the placement and degree. The role is primarily office-based, with opportunities for site visits, fieldwork, and occasional travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the FCE team with engineering and environmental tasks
- Assisting with hydrological, hydraulic, and structural calculations and analysis
- Contributing to reports, technical documents, and drawings
- Supporting project delivery for flood, coast, and environmental schemes
Essential Requirements
- You must be able to demonstrate current study towards a degree in Civil Engineering
- Strong interest in flood risk, coastal, or environmental infrastructure
- Good numerical ability and confidence using spreadsheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and ability to work well in a team
- Interest in sustainable and resilient environmental solutions
