This is a Fixed Term Maternity Cover contract for 12 Months. Binnies is excited to offer an HR Business Partner role within our HR team, which supports over 750 employees across the UK in the Water and Environmental sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, growing business dedicated to nurturing our greatest asset - our people. The role focuses on supporting our Flood, Coast and Environment team. This team consults, delivers and manages critical human infrastructure projects and provides environmental services in a range of sectors, including Water, Transport, Clean Energy, and Government. This hybrid position offers a blend of home and office working, with flexible working options available. Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the HR team, you will provide vital HR support to our Flood, Coast and Environment business, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service.
  • Your focus will include collaborating with the HR team, Flood, Coast and Environment Director, and key stakeholders to execute the people plan aligned with our Binnies1000 growth strategy, offering insight and guidance on strategic people matters.
  • Managing day-to-day HR operations proactively, supporting the business with employee relations cases, absence management, payroll, IR35 compliance and reporting.
  • Participating in Flood, Coast and Environment Leadership Team meetings, both virtually and in person, to contribute HR expertise.
  • Demonstrating visible leadership to foster the Binnies Engaged culture by upholding values and behaviours that attract, develop, and retain talent while promoting health, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Building and sustaining strong relationships with business leaders, engaging regularly with employees, and representing HR at Flood, Coast and Environment cascades and similar events.

Essential Requirements

This role is suitable for candidates with significant previous HR Business Partnering experience. You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

  • Fully CIPD Qualified at level 5 or 7.
  • Experience of developing and implementing HR initiatives.
  • Experience of working in a busy professional services environment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in an engineering and/or construction environment.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate confidently both written & orally at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and reporting skills.
