About the role

Permanent employment. 37 hours per week, shift working over seven days.

Salary: £32,494 – £32,749 per year (£16.84 – £16.98 per hour, including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance).

Responsibilities

• Prepare a choice of nutritional meals to a consistently high standard.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene.
• Assist in managing kitchen operations within a residential care setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a similar post.
• Hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (Elementary Food Hygiene acceptable if willing to achieve Intermediate).
• Ability to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney.
• Subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.
