Applications are invited for the permanent position of Senior Accounting Officer within the Accounting Section.
Salary: £46,365 - £49,157 / £25.41 – £26.94 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance).
Responsibilities:
- The duties of the post include the processing, validation and reporting of financial information.
- The postholder will work within a busy team supporting the functions of the Accounting Section, manage their own workload, and deal with financial queries from stakeholders both within and outside the Council.
Qualifications:
- Applicants should be a fully qualified Accounting Technician (AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma) or have a minimum of 5 years of previous relevant accountancy experience aligned with the role’s responsibilities.
- Good numerical, communication and organisational skills are required.
