We are seeking a suitable candidate to join our dedicated team of staff in the Strynd Nursery.
Job details
Early Years Support Worker – 21 hours per week, Term Time. Temporary to 2 July 2026. Salary: £29,148 - £29,732 / £30,389 - £31,009 pro-rata. The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team in a caring, learning environment for young children.
Qualifications and registration
- For Appointment At D: You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy AND successfully complete a relevant qualification to allow registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker (Day Care of Children) within 3 years of taking up the post.
- For Appointment At E: You should hold a recognised qualification that enables registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker (Day Care of Children) e.g. NC in Early Education and Child Care, SVQ Level 2. You are required to register with the SSSC as a Support Worker (Day Care of Children) within 3 months of appointment.
Other requirements
This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
